Anita specialises in advising on environmental law, investment projects, administrative proceedings and urban planning involving companies within the energy, mining (including oil & gas), chemical, industrial and infrastructure sectors. She is an expert in advising on waste management, including hazardous and municipal waste management. She has broad experience in the environmental aspects of M&A transactions. She advises leading energy sector companies on strategic reorganisations, with particular focus on Waste-to-Energy, ESG, and energy transitions. Anita also specialises in RES projects, including wind power, PV and biogas plants. 

She represents clients in proceedings before administrative authorities and courts, and during legislative reforms. She advises on obtaining environmental decisions, as well as integrated, water and emission permits. 

She gained experience at the Ministry of the Climate and Environment where she was responsible for the legislative procedure concerning an amendment of the Geological and Mining Law regarding hydrocarbons. 

The international ranking Chambers and Partners confirms that “Anita’s substantive level and business sense are at a very high level.”

  • Preparing an opinion for a leading industrial corporate group, regarding a project to construct an offshore wind farm (Baltic Power) and its compliance with Polish and EU environmental law. The opinion discussed to what extent the releavnt EU environmental law has been fully and correctly implemented into Polish law, and where implementation is deficient or even subject to infringement proceedings initiated by the European Commission. The opinion aims to ensure that funding provided by the European financial institutions is properly used
  • Ongoing legal advice related to concessions for prospecting for and exploration of natural resources for an international extraction company
  • Advising on environmental law and environmental decisions for a Polish oil and gas company
  • Organising training courses and presentations on geological and mining law
  • Advising on division of landfill site on matters related to transfer and amendments of integrated permits, environmental decisions and permits on waste management
  • Advising on environmental damage for Polish production operator in oil and gas sector, including advising on possible remedies and corrective measures
