Katarzyna specialises in civil and commercial law proceedings. She represents clients from various economic sectors in complex disputes before courts at all levels. She also advises on infrastructure projects, both at the pre-litigation stage and in disputes concerning the execution of construction or design and build contracts, including those based on the FIDIC template. She advises companies in the rail sector on legal issues affecting the rail transport market and on obligations imposed by rail legislation.

She has work experience at the Railway Transport Authority and as a national expert at the European Commission Working Group within the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE).

  • Advising ORLEN Południe on a project to build a modern rapeseed oil crushing plant with an extraction module, including storage facilities and a railway siding for operations at the refinery. Project value: approx. PLN 850 mln
  • Advising ORLEN Południe on two technologically advanced projects concerning: (i) the construction of a Biodiesel plant with regard to purchasing a licence for the technology and rights to the base project and EPC contracting, and (iii) the construction of a UCOFAME plant under the PC (procurement and construction) formula
  • Advising ORLEN on implementing a project to design and supply a turnkey construction (EPC contract) and provide maintenance services (LTSA contract) regarding two extraction and counterpressure turbine sets and related infrastructure at a Combined Heat and Power Plant of the Production Plant in Płock
  • Advising Siemens Energy and representing it in litigation with the general contractor, in connection with a project for the turnkey construction of a combined heat and power plant – a unit equipped with a turbine set consisting of a bleeder-condensing turbine and a steam boiler
  • Advising a railway operator on the formal and organisational preparation required to commercially operate high-speed trains in Poland

  • Advising the Electricity Transmission System Operator on a strategic infrastructure project to construct an underwater HVDC electricity interconnection between Poland and Lithuania, as part of an EU programme to synchronise the Baltic countries’ electricity grid with those of the EU
  • Representing companies within the Max Bögl Group in several dozen disputes with the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) in connection with a contract for the “Continuation of design and execution of construction works on the A2 motorway from Stryków to Konotopa” and a contract to construct the A1 motorway from the border of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie/Łódzkie voivodship to the Stryków junction (the Sójki junction – the Kotliska junction)
  • Advising a Belgian investor (textile industry) on a greenfield investment in Poland involving the construction of a production plant. Katarzyna prepared an EPC contract and conducted negotiations with the general contractor
