SSW lawyers advised ORLEN Południe on signing a contract for the construction of a UCO FAME plant in Trzebinia

SSW lawyers advised ORLEN Południe on signing a contract for the construction of a UCO FAME plant in Trzebinia. The plant will produce 30,000 tonnes of second-generation esters and 7,000 tonnes of technical glycerine per year from used cooking oil and animal fats.

The use of innovative and environmentally friendly solutions is another step in the transformation of ORLEN Południe into a modern biorefinery. It’s also a part of ORLEN Group’s strategic objectives involving the development of alternative fuels.

The project in Trzebinia (UCO FAME plant), with estimated value of PLN 127,5 million, will be completed in the first quarter of 2023. The general contractor of the investment is a Polish engineering company AB industry.

At SSW the project was carried out by Hubert Wysoczański, Michał Bagłaj, Katarzyna Cybulska and Łukasz Wołk.
