SSW advised Axpo on the acquisition of a 32 MW battery energy storage project in Poland

SSW has supported Axpo in the acquisition of a large‑scale, standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) project with an installed capacity of 32 MW and storage capacity of 140 MWh, located in the Mazowieckie region.

The transaction was handled by our Energy and M&A teams, including Dominik Strzałkowski, Paweł Radek, Filip Tomczak, and Damian Gierasimczuk, under the supervision of Arkadiusz Rumiński.

Battery energy storage systems play a crucial role in creating a more flexible, reliable and resilient power system – stabilising the grid and enabling greater integration of renewable energy sources in Poland’s energy mix.
