SSW advised as Polish counsel on Agile Robots SE’s acquisition of Thyssenkrupp Automation Engineering. The transaction – subject to regulatory approvals – forms part of Thyssenkrupp Automotive Technology’s strategic repositioning. Following completion, the business will continue under the respected name Krause Automation.
Transaction highlights
Agile Robots strengthens its position in next‑generation industrial automation by combining AI‑driven robotics with established plant‑engineering excellence.
The deal adds ~650 experts and 10 new locations across Europe and North America to Agile Robots’ operations.
The acquired business will operate as Krause Automation, honouring its heritage dating back to Johann A. Krause (founded in 1950).
SSW’s role
SSW advised on Poland‑related aspects of the transaction, working alongside Arqis and other international counsel. Our scope included Corporate/M&A, real estate, labour law, and capital markets workstreams aligned to the Polish leg of the deal.
