SSW expands its cooperation with Orlen Południe
SSW expands its cooperation with Orlen Południe – most recently, advising on a launch of a second generation bioethanol plant in the Jedlicze refinery.
As a first step, we prepared a comprehensive purchasing procedure, which will be utilised in course of the preparations for the development of the refinery.
At present, SSW lawyers including Michał Bagłaj, Hubert Wysoczański, Mateusz Fraszka, led by the lead partner on the matter, Łukasz Wołk, are preparing a model contract for construction and start-up of the plant.
This new refinery will be one of the largest second-generation biofuel installations in Europe (i.e. produced from non-food raw materials). Various waste materials, such as straw, algae and others are used in the production of such biofuel.
Łukasz Wołk, the SSW relationship partner for Orlen Południe notes that “the capacity of the planned Jedlicze refinery installation is 25 thousand tons of bioethanol per annum. Through this project, Orlen Południe intends to increase its share in the bio-components market, as well as to achieve the EU target for the share of renewable fuels and bio-additives in the entire liquid fuels market”.
