Paweł Samolewicz

Paweł is a Counsel at SSW Law & Beyond. He helps foreign investors and banks navigate financing in Poland efficiently, from negotiating the facility agreement to putting security in place. Clients gain an adviser who understands both the local landscape and the standards that apply in London, so they never have to explain their expectations to two different worlds.

He advises lenders and borrowers on bilateral and syndicated loans, particularly those based on standard LMA documentation, as well as on the security packages that accompany them. Energy is his main focus, a sector in which he has also handled M&A and joint venture transactions. His work extends to infrastructure, industrial and FMCG projects.

At SSW Law & Beyond, he helps build relationships with international clients and supports the firm’s initiatives in overseas markets. Where a transaction spans several jurisdictions, Paweł makes sure every element fits together and the process runs without unnecessary friction. He works closely with the International Business and Banking & Finance teams and helps clients from abroad find their footing in the Polish market.

Nearly 20 years of practice in the UK, Germany and Poland have taught him to negotiate on both sides of the table and across different business cultures. Qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales, he works with clients in Polish, English and German, and also speaks French and Russian.
