Michał specialises in regulatory issues regarding the renewables market, energy law and industrial consumers. In renewables and energy law, he has experience advising on the regulation of offshore and onshore wind farms, photovoltaic power plants, the liquid fuels market, energy companies’ licensing obligations, direct lines, balancing and the power-grid code. He has conducted numerous due diligence analyses, including for CHP plants, biomass power plants, wind farms and photovoltaic power plants. In terms of end users, he deals with the energy economy, particularly energy efficiency, electromobility and the EU ETS. He has helped energy-intensive companies to obtain compensation. He has also advised industrial consumers on their compliance with statutory obligations.

  • Advising Baltic Power on securing EUR 4.73 billion in financing for Poland’s first offshore wind project. The role included advising on regulatory framework (incl. newly imposed CfD support scheme), assisting in structuring the financing, and negotiating financing documents, including the security agreements.
