Helena specialises in proceedings before common courts and arbitral tribunals. In particular, she advises on complex litigation involving capital market law, the Investment Funds Act and real estate disputes. She advises clients in personal injury proceedings and regarding bankruptcy and restructurings. She has helped to conduct restructuring proceedings in a capital group, which culminated in concluding agreements with creditors. She also advises on criminal law cases, particularly white collar crimes.

  • Representing Erbud against Bank Millennium and helping to secure a final judgment obliging Bank Millennium to pay Erbud PLN 112.3 mln
  • Representing Cinkciarz.pl in proceedings against Currency One. The case concerned the use of the words “cinkciarz”, “cinkciarz.pl” and similar words (including intentional typos) as keywords to advertise a competitor’s website in the Google Chrome search engine. The Polish court ordered the owner of Internetowykantor.pl and Walutomat (which offer online currency exchange services) to apologise and pay compensation to Cinkciarz.pl and donate an additional amount to charity. It must also refrain from further illegal activities involving the use of the competitor’s name as keywords in Google As (formerly AdWords)
  • Representing ALBA in proceedings against TVP and helping to secure a judgment which held TVP liable for several infringements of the client’s personal rights in its “News” and “Alarm!” broadcasts
