New lawyers (and much more) at SSW

Two experienced lawyers and a corporate finance manager have joined SSW Pragmatic Solutions. All three experts have senior positions and will expand the company’s key business areas.

Mateusz Chmielewski is a Polish-qualified legal advisor, an English-qualified solicitor and a partner at SSW. His main areas of expertise are capital markets and merger and acquisition transactions (M&A). He advised Polish and international issuers and underwriters on private and public equity offerings, bond issues (including high-yield) and medium-term note programmes. In the field of M&A, he specializes in both public and private market transactions.
Prior to joining SSW, Mateusz Chmielewski worked for leading law firms in Poland, the UK and Singapore. He also gained experience as head of the legal department of one of the largest Polish banks.
  Łukasz Grenda is a legal counsel, a licensed restructuring adviser and a partner at SSW. He has experience in conducting major bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings, as a receiver, administrator and attorney.
He was a liquidator of State Treasury companies on behalf of the Ministry of State Treasury.
In bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings, he achieved the highest results in market asset sales. He also conducted developed business activity for an entity in insolvency.
  Apart from the new partners, the SSW Pragmatic Solutions team has been joined by Michał Trzęsimiech – a corporate finance manager for  SSW’s Finance team. His main area of expertise is  transactional advice, including financial due diligence. Michał has conducted numerous M&A transactions for entities from various industries, working for both strategic investors and private equity funds. He was involved in the diversification and acquisition of new sources of funding for companies, including those from the fintech industry. Furthermore, he has experience in company valuation and management accounting. He advised on obtaining funding, created financial models, and also supervised the portfolio of foreign investments. Before joining SSW, he gained experience in transaction advisory departments in the so-called Big Four companies. He is a member of the ACCA.
