Compensation from a debtor cannot be sold. Debt collectors will no longer be able to earn in this way.

Łukasz Cudny, attorney-at-law and member of the litigation team at SSW Pragmatic Solutions, says the following about the impact of factoring:

It is difficult to agree with the hypothesis that the possibility of selling compensation sums can harm debtors. In general, the sale of debts does not adversely affect a debtor’s situation because the identity of the entity or person collecting the debt is irrelevant to the debtor. In any case, the initial reason for such compensation existing is the fact that the debtor’s payment was overdue, which should be negatively assessed by the legal system.
