SSW advised the PKN Orlen Group on the acquisition of three onshore wind farms
SSW Pragmatic Solutions advised the PKN Orlen Group on the purchase of three wind farms with a total capacity of 90 MW, located in Kobylnica, Subkowy and Nowotna, Pomeranian Voivodeship.
The three wind farms, purchased from Spanish investment funds, operate in the green certificate system and they have signed agreements for the purchase of energy produced for the next 4 to 10 years. Their total annual output is approximately 280 GWh. After this acquisition, the Group is the owner of zero-emissions power plants with a total capacity of 642 MW, including 353 MW from their 10 wind farms.
The purchase of the three wind farms is part of PKN Orlen Group’s long-term strategy. The Group plans to have a portfolio of renewable energy sources with a total capacity of 2.5 GW by 2030.
SSW’s involvement consisted of i.a. obtaining a clearance from UOKiK, Polish competition and consumer protection regulator. Our sincere congratulations and thanks for cooperation on the transaction to PKN Orlen Group and the PWC team led by Jan Biernacki.
