Partner promotions: Filip Balcerzak, Ph.D. and Łukasz Cudny
The SSW Pragmatic Solutions’ team of partners has been strengthened by two new lawyers Pragmatic Solutions as partners. Filip Balcerzak, Ph.D. (Arbitration practice) and Łukasz Cudny (Litigation practice) have been working with our firm for nearly 10 years. With the newly appointed lawyers, the number of SSW partners has risen to 32. Their promotion is in line with the trend of dynamic growth and the policy of retaining and promoting top talent within our firm.
Filip Balcerzak, Ph.D. – attorney at law, is admitted to the bar in two jurisdictions: Poland (adwokat) and Spain (abogado). He specializes in commercial dispute resolution at both national and international levels. He has successfully led cases for a variety of clients from different jurisdictions, utilising his fluency in English and Spanish. His experience includes advising and representing parties in international arbitrations (for example in ad hoc arbitrations with their seat in New York and London). Currently he is an Associate Professor (Research) at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. Recently, he has been included the list of recommended arbitrators of the Court of Arbitration of the Polish Chamber of Commerce for 2021-2024.
Łukasz Cudny – advocate enrolled with the Warsaw Bar Association. Łukasz teaches civil law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw. He specialises in court and arbitration proceedings and in capital markets and corporate law.. Łukasz has been also supporting clients in a host of corporate disputes. Additionally, he provides advice in arbitration proceedings related to the execution of investment project based on FIDIC contracts. Moreover, Łukasz has frequently advised clients in the performance of obligations related to the acquisition of major share packages. He is also the author of numerous research papers on civil and commercial law.
