Rafał specialises in advising on capital markets, infrastructure, energy projects and natural resources as well as securities and public companies. He is an expert in advising Polish and foreign banks on issues concerning corporate finance and debt instruments. He has extensive experience in advising lenders on corporate debt restructuring. He has advised on numerous real estate leases and sale-and-leaseback transactions.
Rafał advised on the first and second post-war issuance of mortgage bonds in Poland, the first and second securitisation transactions carried out by a Polish bank, the first bond issue carried out by a foreign bank as well as the public sector’s credit and debt financing. He helped to prepare standard documentation for derivatives in the domestic interbank market and participated in legislative reforms to amend the Bond Act.
