Joanna Wieczorek, expert in air law, specializing, among others, in antitrust issues, consumer protection and intellectual property law. At SSW, she is also responsible for the French Desk development and customer service for French entrepreneurs.
Within the framework of air law practice, she is responsible for contacts with aviation associations, among others ZRPR / Regional Airports Associations, and BARIP / Association of Airlines on the Polish market. She conducts trainings for the above mentioned entities, concerning, among others, personal data in aviation, environment protection, including air noise, as well as new technologies and regulations regarding uav and anti-uav. She cooperates during audits conducted in the area of personal data in aviation companies, such as: PLL LOT S.A., Enter Air, Chopin Airport Development, Thales, where SSW law firm was responsible for comprehensive implementation of new rules and procedures for protection of personal data.
Joanna offers support to both lessors and lessees in aircraft leasing transactions, also in the context of representation before ULC [Civil Aviation Authority]. Her air law practice together with the process practice of SSW provided support to the Aviation Department of the Ministry of Infrastructure in an investment arbitration in terms of analyzing a ruling and its enforceability in the EU. Consulting for the Ministry of Infrastructure also included support for the subsequent strategy of handling the dispute.
She gained her professional experience, among others, in software company LOGISTORE in Paris, the legal department of the Polish airline LOT, Hugon Grocjusz Intellectual Property Law Center, as well as boutique law firms for intellectual property and antitrust law Markiewicz & Sroczyński.
She graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Jagiellonian University and Université d’Orléans (LLM). She holds a diploma in American law (The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law) and French law (Université d’Orléans). At present, she is a doctoral student at the Department of Constitutional Law at the Jagiellonian University and Université de Nantes, writing a doctoral thesis on air law in French and Polish. She received a scholarship of the French government in the years 2010-2013 (BGF).
