SSW announced the winner at the IFLR Europe Awards 2024 in the Deal of the Year – Project Finance category for its support of the Baltic Power offshore project

On 24th April 2024 at the IFLR Europe Awards 2024 gala in London SSW was announced the winner in the Deal of the Year – Project Finance category for its legal support of the Baltic Power offshore wind project.

Baltic Power, a joint venture between Orlen and Northland Power, is the most advanced offshore wind project in Poland, with the value of approx. EUR 4.73 billion. To date it has also been the largest Polish project finance, and the biggest offshore wind project financing in the EU.

The International Financial Law Review – IFLR is a market-leading law publication and legal ranking company. They recognise the achievements of law firms in areas such as project finance, project development, infrastructure, renewable energy, capital markets and finance.

SSW advised Baltic Power on financing and developing of the Baltic Power offshore windfarm project since 2021.
