On 5 April, a meeting and discussion concerning the security of personal data protection were organised by SSW together with CEE Consulting Group at the Warsaw office of the law firm.
The event was intended to focus on the approaching changes in personal data protection at the EU level and provide guidance how to get prepared. This topic raised a lot of interest among the invited guests.
The speakers were:
Joanna Tomaszewska Ph.D. – Attorney at law, Partner of Spaczyński, Szczepaniak & Partners (SSW) responsible for the personal data protection practice, who delivered a presentation concerning new challenges in data security protection,
and
Jeremy Sypniewski – IT Manager CEE Consulting Group Sp. z o.o. whose presentation concerned the fundamentals of digital security from a technology perspective.
The meeting made part of a series of events dedicated to the protection of personal data recently organised by SSW aimed at preparing the clients to the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) which will come into effect as of 25 May 2018.
