SSW advises Baltic Power on the contract with Erbud for the construction of the operation and maintenance base for the Baltic Power offshore wind farm

Baltic Power has signed a contract with Erbud for the construction of the operation and maintenance base for the offshore wind farm of the ORLEN Group and Northland Power Inc.

SSW partner Hubert Wysoczański and associate Katarzyna Kuśnierek advised Baltic Power on the drafting and negotiation of this contract.

The O&M base in the location of Łeba harbour will serve as a service and operation centre for the Baltic Power’s offshore wind farm. That is where specialised CTVs (Crew Transport Vessels) with service crews will depart from to service 76 wind turbines, each more than 200 metres high. Construction of the base will begin as early as this year, with its completion scheduled for 2025.

The contractor’s scope of work includes the preparation of the project site, hydrotechnical works for the reconstruction of the quay and the construction of the building complex with its infrastructure.

The contract for the construction of the O&M base is part of Baltic Power’s offshore wind farm project. The investment is to be located about 23 km north of the Baltic Sea coastline, at the level of Łeba and Choczewo and will cover an area of more than 130 sq km. The farm will generate energy to meet the needs of more than 1.5 million households.
