SSW advised Kom-Eko Group on the acquisition of an asbestos landfill site

Our experts advised Eko-Azbest – a subsidiary of Kom-Eko, one of the leading operators in the waste management sector – on legal issues in connection with a transaction involving the acquisition, as an organised part of the company, of an asbestos landfill site. In particular, the advice covered transactional, construction, regulatory and tax issues.

The transaction involved the acquisition of Europe’s largest asbestos disposal facility operating as an environmental asbestos landfill from “Środowisko i innowacje – Składowisko”, previously spun off from Środowisko i Innowacje. In addition, as part of the transaction, third-party receivables secured on assets forming part of the acquired organised part of the company were paid off.

Partner supervision of the entire transaction was exercised by Paweł Chyb, and the transaction was led by Leszek Cyganiewicz with the support of Bartosz Kuzioła. Patrycja Goździowska and Anna Sękowska advised on tax matters. In regulatory aspects, Anita Palukiewicz and Anna Piotrowska and Anna Bojja provided their expertise. In the real estate context, Robert Wodzyński and Joanna Berzyńska-Garal advised.

Congratulations on a successful transaction!
