PlayWay S.A., a leading producer of computer and mobile games made its début on the Warsaw Stock Exchange yesterday. In the initial public offering, the company sold all the newly issued shares on offer, at the maximum price. The preparation works concerning the prospectus and the initial public offering were carried out by the capital markets law team of SSW.
PlayWay S.A. is a producer and publisher of computer and mobile games marketed both in Poland and abroad. To date, the Company, together with its subsidiaries, produced and published over 40 games, which sold or were downloaded all around the globe in around 15 million copies. Owing to a large number of publications, the Group is building its position in multiple segments of the games market, both for mobile applications as well as PC and Mac computers. Simulators are one of the key types of the games produced by the Group, including the subsequent editions of the flagship title of the Company: Car Mechanic Simulator. Currently, the Group is working on the development of over 60 new game titles and extensions, and in 2017 it is planning to enter a new segment of the games market and launch its first productions for PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
In the public offering 1.200.000 shares were sold, of which 600.000 are new issue shares while 600.000 are shares sold by the previous shareholders. Institutional investors acquired 1.020.000 shares, and 180.000 shares were allotted to individual investors. Individual investors subscribed for over 790.000 shares in total, which means that the subscription reduction rate in this tranche was 77.23%. The maximum price of the offered shares was PLN 52.00.
