Partner promotions: Anita Palukiewicz and Hubert Wysoczański

The circle of SSW Pragmatic Solutions’ partners has been strengthened by two lawyers: Anita Palukiewicz and Hubert Wysoczański, Ph.D. Both have been associated with the firm for several years and have successfully expanded their respective practices: mining law and environmental protection (Ms. Palukiewicz) and infrastructure (Mr. Wysoczański). The addition of the newly-appointed partners means that the circle of partners at SSW Pragmatic Solutions now includes 25 people. The new partner promotions highlight the general trend of the firm’s dynamic growth in new and existing business areas.

Anita Palukiewicz, attorney at law, specializes in geological and mining law, as well as environmental issues. An expert in the field of geological and mining law, she has many years of experience in advising on mining investments. She advises on administrative proceedings related to the award of concessions. She also provides consulting services regarding the Treasury’s mining ownership rights, contracts to establish mining usufruct rights, geological information and environmental permits.
Anita’s second area of expertise is waste management consulting. She represents companies in many complex environmental and investment proceedings before administrative offices and courts. She provides comprehensive legal and business advice to investors regarding the environmental conditions that apply to investment projects in the municipal, energy, mining and infrastructure sectors among many others.

Ms. Palukiewicz graduated the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Szczecin.

Hubert Wysoczański, Ph.D., attorney at law, heads the infrastructure practice at SSW Pragmatic Solutions. He specializes in advising and representing clients in civil, commercial and administrative matters, during contract negotiations, project planning and implementation and in dispute resolution. He acts as counsel for foreign and Polish entities in arbitration and court proceedings. As an expert in the area of construction works contracts and the FIDIC Contract Conditions, Dr. Wysoczański has authored specialist books on such contracts and on infrastructure investments (including the publication ‘Construction contracts. The New FIDIC conditions’, 2nd edition, 2018), which represents the first comprehensive study on the Polish market of issues relevant to contractual and judicial practice.

He completed his doctorate in law at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. He also studied at the University of Melbourne – Melbourne Law School in Australia and Bucerius Law School in Hamburg. He also acts as an adjudicator in construction disputes.

Piotr Spaczyński, managing partner at SSW Pragmatic Solutions, says:

What distinguishes Anita and Hubert is the combination of their excellent expert knowledge in their respective legal fields, along with their persistent pursuit of established goals. Additionally, they are excellent at managing client relations. They have been associated with SSW for years and have a perfect feel for our organizational culture. This makes me even happier to welcome them into the circle of the firm’s partners.

Barbara Lenarcik, director of marketing and business development at SSW, adds:

Anita and Hubert are not only excellent lawyers, because this would not be the only distinguishing feature for someone at SSW. They also have incredible business knowledge of the industry sectors in which they have operated for years. Anita and Hubert’s appointments as partners also underlines the strategic directions of SSW’s development. The dynamically changing regulatory requirements in the area of environmental protection, and the complex challenges faced by large infrastructure investments, require very specialized and strategic legal advice, which Anita and Hubert successfully provide to their clients.
