Igor Muszyński joins SSW Energy practice

Igor Muszyński, one of the most experienced energy sector lawyers in Poland joins SSW Pragmatic Solutions as Partner in our Energy practice. Between 1993 and 1998 he worked in the Ministry of Economy in the Energy Restructuring Group, the team responsible for drafting the Energy Law of 1997. He has also represented Poland in the negotiations of the Energy Charter Treaty.

Igor Muszyński has advised on some of the key transactions and projects concerning both conventional and renewable energy sources – among these the DC submarine interconnection cable linking the power systems of Poland and Sweden. He has represented entities from the energy sector in cases brought before the President of the Energy Regulatory Office (including tariffs cases), the President of the Office for Competition and Consumer Protection, the Court of Competition and Consumer Protection and the Supreme Court.  He has also represented clients from the energy industry before the European Commission in relation with illegal state aid.
