SSW partners will attend the International Bar Association (IBA) conference in Miami

More than five thousand lawyers from over 130 jurisdictions will come to Miami for the IBA Annual Conference held from 30 October to 4 November. We will also be there to discuss key developments in the legal industry, share knowledge and further strengthen the existing and establish invaluable new relationships with leading lawyers around the globe to enable us to continue to provide our clients with advice at the highest levels in the most complex and critical matters.

SSW’s representatives are also going to Miami. The delegation includes the chairman and partner Wojciech Szczepaniak, the managing partner Piotr Spaczyński and the general partner Szymon Okoń as well as our partner from M&A and International Relations practices: Mateusz Chmielewski, Mateusz Rogoziński and Arkadiusz Rumiński.

The IBA Annual Conference is intended for all legal professionals including lawyers in private practice, in-house counsels, human rights advocates, judges, bar leaders, regulators and government representatives.

More than 200 sessions are scheduled during the conference. The main topics include the challenges of law firm management and international relationships, ethics, the future of the legal profession, the rule of law, and human rights.

The International Bar Association was established in 1947. As the organisation itself describes, it was born out of the conviction that an organisation made up of the world’s bar associations could contribute to global stability and peace through the administration of justice. More than 80,000 individual international lawyers are the IBA’s members who come from most of the world’s leading law firms and around 190 bar associations and law societies spanning more than 170 countries.
