The next meeting of the “Arbitrator Club” will address the following topic: International investment arbitration and human rights, Filip Balcerzak, Senior Associate at SSW Pragmatic Solutions, attorney at law in Poland (adwokat) and Spain (abogado), will discuss the relationship between international investment arbitration and human rights. He will present cases in which human rights may be crucial in the context of investment disputes.
The discussion covered the issue of using argumentation relating to human rights at particular stages of arbitration proceedings based on international treaties on the support and protection of investments.
The meeting was held on 19th April 2018 at 5 p.m. at the headquarters of the Court of Arbitration Lewiatan.
