On 26 April 2017, a conference titled “An Academy Tailored to the Needs” was held in Warsaw. The meeting was organised by the Polish Business Development Institute (Polski Instytut Rozwoju Biznesu Sp. z o.o.) and focused on the challenges faced by Polish universities in the age of technology and fast-advancing social and economic changes. The topics addressed during the conference included the definition of the development strategy in the institutions of higher eduction, creation of the university's visual communication system and e-learning. The conference was attended by representatives of the academia from all around Poland.
Anna Turek from SSW delivered a presentation dedicated to the security of personal data protection taking into account the specifics of the higher education sector in the light of the new EU's Data Protection Regulation which will come into effect as of 25 May 2018.
