Ugo is an international lawyer advising on cross-border legal and regulatory matters. He is a registered attorney in Ecuador and a member of the New York State Bar Association’s International Section. His practice spans international business law, financial regulation, privacy compliance, and comparative legal advisory across Europe, Latin America, and the United States.

He assists clients on multi-jurisdictional projects, drawing on his background in both civil law and common law systems. His work includes regulatory analysis, contract advisory, and support on matters involving EU law, foreign business transactions, and international trade arbitration.

Before joining SSW, Ugo worked in the technology sector, including managing privacy-related processes under GDPR frameworks. He later advised international clients on EU banking law, special economic zones, cross-border contracts, patrimonial successions, and comparative and historical legal issues.

Alongside his legal practice, Ugo has also conducted scholarly research as a fellow of academic institutions in Poland and the United States and is a published author and commentator whose work has appeared in international academic and media publications.
