SSW advised Kuchnia Vikinga and negotiated the EPC contract with Budimex for the modernization and expansion of its production and warehouse facility in Białystok
SSW provided comprehensive legal support to Kuchnia Vikinga throughout the preparation of the tender procedure and the EPC contract documentation, as well as during negotiations with bidders, including Budimex S.A., which was ultimately selected as the general contractor for the project. The contract covers, among other things, the modernization of approximately 8,000 sqm of the existing facility and the construction of a two-storey connector building with an area of approximately 3,000 sqm. The total contract value is approximately PLN 95 million gross.
Over the past eight years, Kuchnia Vikinga has consistently expanded its operations and pursued increasingly ambitious goals. Having established itself as the leader of the boxed meal delivery market in Poland, the company is now taking the next step and aims to become one of the country’s leading producers of fresh ready-made meals. To support this objective, Kuchnia Vikinga’s facility in Białystok will be transformed into a technologically advanced production and warehouse complex dedicated to the preparation of fresh ready-made meals.
The upgraded facility will include, among other things, a dry goods warehouse, cold storage and freezer facilities, order-picking zones, a flour-based products division together with a confectionery and dumpling production area, and a vegetable preparation unit. The entire complex will be equipped with advanced ventilation, air-conditioning, refrigeration, and chilled water systems. Additional installations will include compressed air systems, central cleaning systems, wastewater pre-treatment facilities, water treatment systems, and solutions for the removal and segregation of organic waste. The contract also provides for the construction of external infrastructure and utility connections, thermal modernization works, and the preparation of the facility for the installation of a 500 kWp photovoltaic system.
