SSW hosts RE-Source Poland Hub briefing on Industrial Correlation Mechanism Concept

We were pleased to host RE-Source Poland Hub for a press briefing and the launch of its Industrial Correlation Mechanism Concept – a proposal designed to connect renewable energy generators with energy-intensive industrial consumers and to strengthen the competitiveness of Polish industry, improve access to green energy and support investment in new renewable energy projects. 

The concept, presented by representatives of RE-Source Poland Hub and Dominik Strzałkowski, Partner at SSW, is based on linking new renewable generation assets with industrial consumers through long-term corporate PPAs (cPPAs), helping businesses secure more stable and predictable energy costs while creating incentives for further renewable energy development. 

Following the presentation, representatives of industry, the energy sector, business organisations and energy market experts discussed how closer cooperation between renewable energy producers and industrial consumers can enhance Poland’s attractiveness for investment and support the country’s long-term economic competitiveness. 

A key takeaway from the discussion was that access to affordable, reliable and low-carbon energy is increasingly influencing investment decisions and the ability of energy-intensive industries to remain competitive.
